Vent Sleeve
The purpose of the vent sleeve is to selectively allow the pressure to vent between the bore and the annulus of a subsea test tree. When the subsea test tree is being deployed, the vent sleeve provides a high-pressure 15,000 psi barrier. When desired, the vent sleeve is “opened” which allows pressure to vent between the bore and the annulus. Because of the innovative design, the sleeve can be opened under full 15,000 psi pressure differential. Additional features include 17G design and qualification, the use of NACE material, a shortened design, and the incorporation of 22 hydraulic feedthroughs.

We have experience in HPHT applications, as the engineers at Seahorse Energy® were involved in the implementation of the world’s first 15K horizontal tree systems years ago. Seahorse Energy® has critical metal-to-metal seal design, analysis, and testing experience for high-pressure and high-temperature applications.
