Subsea Test Tree Components

Seahorse Energy® has collaboratively worked with PRT Offshore on the design and development of various subsea test tree components. Through PRT’s field experience and input, specifications were developed. And, throughout the engineering process, these specifications were refined and enhanced. This has resulted in leading-edge equipment with unequaled system functionality.

Latch

The latch is a disconnect mechanism within a subsea test tree system. It is the latch that enables a safe disconnect and reconnect for both the landing string and the control lines if the subsea test tree is parted at the shear joint.

Circulation Sleeve

The purpose of the circulation sleeve is to selectively allow the flow of fluids between the bore and the annulus of a subsea test tree. When the subsea test tree is being deployed, the circulation sleeve provides a high-pressure 15,000 psi barrier. When desired, the circulation sleeve is “opened” which allows fluid to be circulated between the bore and the annulus through a large diameter. Because of the innovative design, the sleeve can be opened under full 15,000 psi pressure differential.

Vent Sleeve

Similar to the circulation sleeve, the purpose of the vent sleeve is to selectively allow the pressure to vent between the bore and the annulus of a subsea test tree.
